Now that the cool fall weather is here, it is perfect to spend time with your loved ones and enjoy all that the local community has to offer. Make sure to mark your calendar for these exciting Lombard October events this month.
The 30th Anniversary of the Milestone for Maple Street Chapel Folk Concerts is happening on October 18th at 4 pm and goes until 10:30 p.m. The concert includes as 10-act live concert that will feature over 5 full hours of music. There will also be a Meal & Mingle Hour that will start at 6 pm. Make sure to try one of the delicious Lombard’s BRICKS Woof Fired Pizza & Café salads or sandwiches that will be available for purchase. There are many different opportunities to get more involved in the event, including becoming a sponsor or advertiser, or donating raffle items. All donations to the Maple Street Chapel are tax deductible. The Folk Concert series was started by Bryan Dagenhart in 1984 as a way to help raise money for the care of the Chapel.
The Spooktacular Fall Fest in downtown Lombard is on October 19th from 11 am until 4 pm. For only $1, children can take part in all of the fun that is being offered at the festival, including coloring contests and other games. There will also be music provided by Radio Disney, delicious food, and fun trick or treating for the little ones. You will not want to miss the performances by Dance Centre, Sky Centers Martial Arts Elite Team, or Mighty Joe Beatty!
