- Be Respectful
While this should go without saying, you should always be polite and respectful to your driver. Just because they are driving you around does not mean that they are your personal chauffeur or employee. Make sure that you do not boss them around or make unreasonable demands. You should also be aware that ridesharing drivers use their personal vehicles to transport customers, so make sure that you do not leave any trash or make a mess during the ride.
- Be Punctual
When you use ridesharing services like Uber or Lyft, you can use their mobile app to see where your driver is. As soon as you request your ride, you should check to see how long it will take for your driver to arrive. If they will be there in less than five minutes, then you should go outside and wait for them at the appointed spot. In addition to being rude, making your driver wait for you will cost them money.
- Don’t Cancel Rides
If you’ve ordered a ride, you should do your absolute best to avoid cancelling it. A cancelled ride is a major inconvenience for the driver and will cost them precious gas, time, and money. If there is even a slight chance that you will have to cancel, then do not bother ordering a ride in the first place.
